Redact-It Desktop is a simple desktop tool using patent-pending technology to intelligently remove sensitive content and privacy information from documents. Redact-It creates a PDF or TIFF rendition of the redacted file, leaving the source file untouched.

Using Redact-It Desktop is simple.

1. Perform initial redaction.

Redact-It Desktop makes it easy to protect privacy and other sensitive information quickly. Redactions can by applied simply by dragging a box, by searching for text strings or patterns or by applying reusable scripts. Scripts are a great way to redact many documents efficiently and automatically as each document is opened. Then users simply need to verify the applied redactions and move on to the next document.

2. Verify recommended redactions and modify if necessary.

Reviewers can use our easy Verify panel to step carefully through each redaction entity to ensure all text is completely covered, no erroneous content was redacted and that all sensitive content was indeed redacted. Reviewers can also route a draft rendition of redactions that allows reviewers to see where suggested redactions will be, but can still view the content beneath.

3. Finalize redaction to new file for easy distribution.

Redact-It creates fully sanitized TIFF or PDF renditions of the original document for sharing, uploading or filing. The original file remains untouched if required later.
